Harnessing the Power of ChatGPT and Code Interpreter for Data Visualisation

Introduction

In the realm of no-code technology, new advancements are continually unfolding that transform the way we work with data. Today, we're going to focus on a tool combination that is revolutionizing the field: OpenAI's ChatGPT and the Code Interpreter.

What is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is a language model developed by OpenAI. It's trained on a diverse range of internet text, which enables it to generate human-like text responses when given a prompt. While ChatGPT is a powerful tool on its own, it truly shines when combined with other technologies. One of these technologies is the Code Interpreter.

What is Code Interpreter?

The Code Interpreter is a tool that can execute Python code, making it an excellent companion to ChatGPT. This integration allows users to engage with ChatGPT in a conversational manner while also executing Python code for tasks like data analysis and visualization.

Creating Data Visualizations with ChatGPT and Code Interpreter

Now, let's delve into how you can use ChatGPT and Code Interpreter to create data visualizations. Here is a simplified step-by-step guide:

1. Provide a Dataset: First, you need to provide the dataset you want to analyze. This can be done by either directly inputting the data or uploading a file containing the data.

2. Ask ChatGPT to Analyze the Data: Next, you ask ChatGPT to analyze the data. You can do this in a conversational manner. For example, you might say, "Can you show me a summary of this data?" or "What is the average value of this column?"

3. Visualize the Data: After analyzing the data, you can then ask ChatGPT to create a visualization. For instance, you might ask, "Can you create a bar chart showing the distribution of this data?" or "Can you create a scatter plot of these two variables?"

Why Use ChatGPT and Code Interpreter for Data Visualization?

Combining ChatGPT and Code Interpreter for data visualization offers several benefits:

  • Ease of Use: No need for extensive coding knowledge. You can ask ChatGPT to analyze and visualize data in a conversational manner.
  • Flexibility: You can visualize data in many different ways, depending on how you ask ChatGPT to analyze and present the data.
  • Interactivity: The process is interactive, allowing you to ask follow-up questions or request additional visualizations based on the results.

Results

The combination of ChatGPT and Code Interpreter is a powerful tool for anyone looking to analyze and visualize data without the need for extensive coding knowledge. It's another great example of how no-code technology is making data analysis more accessible to everyone.

These gifs show you the output. The first just shows how we've lowered the CPA cost fast. The second one colour-codes the display highlighting days when conversion costs were unacceptably high in red and orange and and showing better results in varying shades of green.

The next one was just a test to see if ChatGPT would rotate the whole gig. It seems to have missed the final part of the rotation but it's an amusing demo.

No-code resources

My list of no-code resources. I've tried a few of these but none extensively. I have no idea yet about which of these are good and I've listed them here purely as a personal reference source.
